Thunderstorm winds downed many tree limbs which took down powerlines. Winds caused roof damage to two buildings.

During the morning of August 18th, isolated thunderstorms developed in east-central Missouri. One of these thunderstorms became severe and caused damage to power lines and structures in Mexico.
