Spotter reported large trees and utility lines blown down along Laurel Park Rd. Public reported multiple trees blown down in the Etowah area.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed over the North Carolina Blue Ridge during the early afternoon and steadily progressed east through the afternoon into the early evening. Isolated storms became severe and produced hail and brief damaging wind gusts.
