Mesonet site ROBN4 at Robbins Reef measured a 37 knot wind gust.

Wider weather episode

A mid-level shortwave and pre-frontal trough were able to fire up showers and thunderstorms in an area characterized by about 1500 J/kg of MLCAPE and 25-30 knots of effective shear. A few storms were able to become severe and produce localized damaging winds over the waters.
