Mesonet Station OD152 recorded a 58 mph wind gust as showers passed overhead. No damages were reported.

Wider weather episode

On July 3rd and 4th, southwest flow aloft was dominant across eastern Oregon. This flow aloft advected mid-level in moisture across eastern Oregon. A shortwave and wind speed maximum ejecting through the southwesterly flow increased the available shear and instability for thunderstorms.
