A prolonged heatwave impacted Mecklenburg County over the course of three days from June 23 to 25. Each day, heat indices reached 105 to 115 degrees with most areas peaking around 110 degrees. Daily high temperatures in the upper 90s and dew points in the mid to upper 70s were also common. Dew points peaked around 80 degrees in some locations.

A prolonged heatwave impacted portions of eastern and central Virginia over the course of three days from June 23 to 25. Each day, heat indices reached 105-115 degrees with high temperatures in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees and dew points in the upper 70s. Dew points increased to around 80 degrees locally in the evenings. Given the duration and magnitude of the heatwave, little relief occurred overnight between each day.
