Measured 0.33 inches of rain in 20 minutes as well as pea size hail. In addition, there was a 51 mph thunderstorm wind gust measure at JPL04 mesonet station on Lake Tahoe.

Wider weather episode

A four corners high pressure advected a high amount of atmospheric moisture into the region. This was day one of an extended push of monsoon moisture that produced heavy rain, localized flooding, strong outflow winds.
