The wider storm

Showers and thunderstorms became more numerous into the early afternoon hours, pushing eastward through the evening hours. Saturated soils across eastern Pennsylvania from recent flooding allowed for numerous instances of flash flooding, including numerous water rescues in York, Lancaster, and Lycoming counties. In particular, Rapho Township (York County) observed multiple flooded roadways, water rescues, and flooding impacting homes and businesses during the evening hours. Thunderstorms also produced a couple instances of wind damage in northern York County.
