Event narrative

A large tree branch was snapped. The branch looked somewhat rotten but the tree was healthy.

Wider weather episode

A complex of thunderstorms developed overnight across the Dakotas and moved across northern Minnesota the morning of the 27th. The storms were severe across parts of mainly St. Louis County where areas of tree damage were reported. Another isolated cell developed to the south of this main area of storms across the Brainerd Lakes area and produced quarter-sized hail as it moved into Aitkin County.
