Excessive Heat in Mccurtain, Oklahoma

An upper level ridge of high pressure built back over the Lower Mississippi Valley into the Four State Region during the final couple of days of July, resulting in more widespread upper 90s to triple digit temperatures across Southeast Oklahoma. Unfortunately, dewpoints were not able to mix out much during the afternoons of July 30th-31st, with oppressively hot conditions leading to resultant heat indices ranging from 110-113 degrees each day across McCurtain County Oklahoma.
