Another hot and humid day for the Mid-South. A stationary cold front was situated just north of the AR/MO and TN/KY state lines, which trapped the region on the hot and humid side of the boundary. Afternoon heat indices ranged from 105 to 109 degrees. A shortwave was able to muster up enough shower and thunderstorm coverage over eastern portions of the state to have limited oppressive heat conditions.
