Multiple large oak trees snapped and uprooted southeast of Downsville.

Wider weather episode

A broken line of storms formed during the late evening on July 3 stretching from Polk to Eau Claire Counties. These storms quickly strengthened and dropped hail up to 1 inch in diameter before congealing into a line and weakening as they slowly progressed eastward. The majority of thunderstorm wind damage was confined to Dunn County, including multiple trees uprooted, downed power lines, and a broken flag pole.
