What the National Weather Service wrote

A tree was reported down blocking the westbound lane along West State Avenue by the Mountaineer Mart.

The wider storm

Surface low pressure associated with a seasonably anomalous closed upper low dragged a cold front through the area, resulting in evening showers and thunderstorms. Most convection was sub-severe as MLCAPE and effective shear were marginal (300-600 J/g and 20kts), however, there were two severe storms in northern West Virginia. Damaging winds were the only threat with convection.

Began near Terra Alta (39.4500, -79.5500).
