A tree was downed on the Taconic State Parkway northbound north of Pumpkin Lane.

Wider weather episode

Showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of a cold front during the afternoon hours on July 3, 2025 across eastern New York. Some of the storms became severe downing trees and wires, especially across areas south and east of Albany. Isolated instances of 1 inch hail was also observed.
