Event narrative

Forest Service officials report flooding with ash laden water through House Rock Wash along Buffalo Ranch Road (Forest Road 8910). The road was impassable and blocked access for BAER team members performing work in the area. The White Sage burn scar was upstream from this location.

Wider weather episode

Deep monsoon moisture led to multiple thunderstorms throughout the day. Some of the storms produced heavy rain that led to flash flooding.
