The Big Sioux River near Estelline continued above flood stage from July. The river then fell below flood stage on the morning of August 3rd.

Wider weather episode

Heavy rain at the end of July resulted in isolated river flooding across portions of the Middle Big Sioux River. This flooding continued into the first week of August.
