Severe thunderstorm wind gusts blew down large tree branches, bringing powerlines down and causing power outages.

Wider weather episode

A weak cold front coupled with a highly saturated atmosphere led to numerous thunderstorms across the area. One storm became severe, producing severe wind damage and a house fire sparked by lightning.
