Several trees were blown down by severe thunderstorm winds near the Sevier County campus of Walters State Community College.

A cold front pushing through the Mid-South in an environment of 30 knots of effective shear and plenty of CAPE fueled several severe thunderstorms that tracked across portions of East Tennessee, producing several instances of severe wind damage and severe hail.
