A period of hot and humid weather occurred across portions of eastern New York from July 6-8, 2025 with heat index values (feels like temperatures) reaching 95 to 102 degrees each afternoon across some valley areas. A southward advancing cold front on July 8 brought relief from the heat with the highest values only occurring across the mid-Hudson Valley on this day.
