A social media report was received of multiple downed trees, including one that damaged an outhouse, near the White Memorial Conservation Center in the Town of Litchfield.

A period of hot and humid weather occurred across northwestern Connecticut on July 7-8, 2025 with heat index values (feels like temperatures) reaching 95 to 102 degrees each afternoon. An approaching cold front on July 8, which brought relief from the heat, resulted in a thunderstorm becoming severe downing some trees and wires.
