Dangerous heat and humidity remained in place across eastern Arkansas as deep, tropical moisture continued to flow into the region. Dewpoints in the mid to upper 70s and temperatures in the low to mid 90s resulted in heat indices from 105 to 110 degrees. Convective coverage occurred across eastern portions of Mississippi, providing relief from oppressive heat.
