Event narrative

A tree was downed blocking all lanes on the Northway, Interstate 87, southbound between exits 13 and 14 near Saratoga Springs.

Wider weather episode

A few showers and thunderstorms developed within the vicinity of a frontal boundary during the afternoon and early evening hours on July 10, 2025. A few of these storms became severe downing trees and wires. Most of the damage was concentrated within Saratoga and Washington counties. A 62 mph wind gust was recorded at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport near Glens Falls.
