Event narrative

The Coquille River at Coquille rose above minor flood stage of 21.0 ft. at 16/1038 PST, peaked in moderate flood stage at 17/700 PST at 24.84 ft. It then fell below flood stage at 20/120 PST. At moderate flood stage, Some farm buildings may be threatened and roads covered in low areas by rising water. Expect widespread flooding throughout the Coquille River floodplain.

Wider weather episode

The strongest of a series of frontal systems stalled over southern Oregon on 03/16. It produced heavy rain that caused numerous rivers in southwest Oregon to flood.
