Indian Road 10 was closed due to flash flooding and necessary evacuations.

Wider weather episode

A weak upper level trough moved through southern New Mexico combining with an already moist atmosphere. Slow moving storms developed over the Sacramento Mountains and brought heavy rain to the Mescalero Indian Reservation which caused flash flooding southeast of Mescalero.
