A report of visibility down to around 1/4 mile in dust from thunderstorm wind. A mesonet station named CO047 385n220 Idalia which is 4 miles to the northeast of Idalia reported a 56 mph wind gust.

Wider weather episode

A cluster of storms developed across eastern Colorado and led to wind gusts ranging from 60 mph to 72 mph across Kit Carson county with the strongest being 7 NNW Flagler. Dust storm conditions were also reported near Peconic and Idalia from the thunderstorm winds.
