The Weatherflow site on the south end of Tybee Island measured a peak wind gust of 37 knots.

Numerous clusters of thunderstorms developed across southeast Georgia in the early afternoon hours. These thunderstorms eventually progressed to the coast through the mid to late afternoon hours and produced strong wind gusts.
