Dorchester County Emergency Management reported that lightning struck a structure and started a fire in the 1000 block of Lovebug Lane.

Numerous clusters of thunderstorms developed across interior southeast South Carolina starting in the mid afternoon hours. These storms steadily progressed eastward through the late afternoon producing damaging wind gusts and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.
