Dorchester County Emergency Management reported a tree fell on a vehicle near the 700 block of Highway 61, causing a minor injury.

Wider weather episode

Numerous clusters of thunderstorms developed across interior southeast South Carolina starting in the mid afternoon hours. These storms steadily progressed eastward through the late afternoon producing damaging wind gusts and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.
