A gust of 52 mph was recorded at the WIDOT station WI072 located at the US 2 junction with WI State Highway 13 four miles west of Ashland.

Wider weather episode

A stationary boundary was draped across western Wisconsin during the day on the 15th. This led to multiple rounds of storms across northwestern Wisconsin during the morning and afternoon hours. Some of the storms contained damaging winds across the Chequamegon Bay area during the day with a maximum gust of 52 mph recorded at the roundabout four miles west of Ashland on US2.
