A weak surface low developed along a stalled boundary near New Orleans on July 17, 2025, providing a focus for slow-moving thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall led to flash flooding across St. Charles Parish, where numerous streets in LaPlace, Destrehan, and New Sarpy were inundated.
