Wind gusts in excess of 40mph reported along the Lake Michigan coast of Leelanau county, gusting to 42mph at Leland, and as high as 48mph at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula.

A line of storms ahead of a warm front crossed the area from southwest to northeast during the evening of the 15th into the overnight of the 16th, producing mainly gusty winds up to about 50mph.
