Trees were reported down along Flanders Road near Bethlehem Village.

Wider weather episode

Hot and humid conditions developed across portions of northwestern Connecticut on July 25, 2025 ahead of a passing cold front. Peak heat index values (feels like temperatures) between 95 and 102 degrees were observed. In addition, scattered showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of the cold front during the afternoon hours with some storms becoming severe downing trees and wires. One tree fell onto an occupied vehicle resulting in an injury (direct).
