Event narrative

The Bivens Creek Fire was a lightning start fire in the southern Tobacco Roots (15 miles N of Virginia City) on August 13. 2,126 acres of timber and mixed conifer forest were burned before the fire was declared contained September 16. No damage to structures were reported.
