Severe winds damaged crops and downed trees near Pocomoke City. An EMS vehicle was almost overturned in high wind and a motorcyclist was blown off the highway, resulting in an injury.

A lee surface trough was situated across the Mid-Atlantic on July 8. Scattered storms developed in the afternoon, persisting into the evening hours. A line of storms entered the Maryland Eastern Shore in the evening, producing a corridor of wind damage.
