NOAA recorded where this tornado touched down but not where it lifted, so it appears as a point. Other tornadoes recorded nearby that day are shown faint.

What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

A weak tornado was observed and recorded by citizens in the Edmond area. No damage was reported. Triangulating videos taken from near E 15th and Littler Avenue facing northeast, and from just north of Kelley Blvd and Edmond Road facing east-southeast, the tornado is estimated to have occurred northeast of E 9th Street and Rankin Street.

The wider storm

A weak and slow-moving upper trough translated across the WFO Norman Forecast Area on the 12th. A low-level airmass characterized by high humidity and modest buoyancy led to thunderstorms with heavy rainfall. Flooding occurred during the afternoon hours across the western and northern portions of the OKC Metropolitan Area. A pair of weak tornadoes were also observed across north-central Oklahoma given very low cloud bases and localized pockets of sufficient low-level instability/vorticity.

Began near Edmond (35.6500, -97.4680).
