What the National Weather Service wrote

Mesonet station MTBLS Boulder South Mt-69 Mp 27.7 measured a 61 mph wind gust.

The wider storm

An upper level trough with an embedded shortwave aloft produced isolated showers and thunderstorms in Southwest MT late afternoon through the evening. Weak shear kept most thunderstorms sub-severe. However, there was enough instability and moisture for a few storms to become severe and produce gusty winds.

Began near Boulder Arpt (46.1300, -111.9800).
