Event narrative
Nearly all of South-Central Texas received above normal rainfall in July. A large part of the area had four to six times normal. The drought improved in nearly every county. Kerr County improved from Exceptional (D4) drought category to no drought. Gillespie County improved from Extreme (D3) drought to no drought. Blanco and Travis counties improved from Severe (D2) drought to no drought. Bandera improved from D4 to Abnormally Dry (D0). Edwards, Hays, Kendall, Maverick, and Real improved from D3 to D0. Uvalde improved from D4 to Moderate (D1) drought. Zavala went from D3 to D1. Comal, Dimmit, Guadalupe, and Wilson went from D2 to D1.
