Most of metro Palm Beach County began the month of July in a severe (D2) to extreme (D3) drought which lingered until rainfall activity early in the month allowed slight improvement to moderate (D1) to severe (D2) drought.

Wider weather episode

Prolonged periods of dry weather across much of Southeast Florida since the winter months led to drought conditions entering July with limited rainfall allowing the drought to persist.
