Event narrative

Severe thunderstorm outflow winds downed numerous trees to include a large pine tree on Hanscomb School Rd., and a cluster of trees along a field line in Limington.

Wider weather episode

A surface cold front dropping down from Canada interacted with a very hot and unstable airmass in place across the state. Significant shear aloft allowed for some organized thunderstorms. The strongest severe storms brought a swatch of wind damage from York to Cumberland Counties.
