Isolated to scattered storms developed across central and eastern portions of North Carolina during the afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front advancing eastward from the Ohio and Tennessee Valley region. A few clusters of storms congealed into a larger line of storms as it reached Johnston County, producing a few reports of wind damage.
