Event narrative
The National Park Service and USGS provided pictures and USGS stream gage data of a flash flood event that occurred in North Canyon Wash. The stream gage showed a peak rise of 1.1 feet at 8:55 PM on September 4th, followed by a second peak rise of 0.8 feet at 2:55 AM on September 5th. The pictures indicated higher flows of water mixed with debris and fire ash from its source in the Dragon Bravo Burn Scar area.
