Near zero visibility in blowing dust was reported along a broken line of thunderstorms that were moving north. The dust storm came from the south.

Wider weather episode

Scattered thunderstorms developed over Northwest Kansas in the late afternoon and early evening. A thunderstorm moving over Atwood had the largest hail reported; golf ball size. Elsewhere wind gusts around 60 MPH were measured at St. Francis and Oberlin. A dust storm associated with thunderstorm winds was reported north of Blakeman along a broken line of thunderstorms as the storms moved north.
