An amateur radio operator reported wires down causing a brush fire on Cornwall Bridge Road in Sharon, Connecticut.

Hot and humid conditions ahead of an upper level disturbance and surface boundary generated enough instability to drive the development of scattered thunderstorms across northwest Connecticut on the afternoon of August 13, 2025. One storm in particular reached severe magnitude, inflicting wind damage to wires near Sharon which ended up causing a brush fire on Cornwall Bridge Road.
