During the overnight and early morning hours of August 12th and 13th, strong thunderstorms associated with a trough tracking through the area crossed Lake Erie, resulting in gusty winds to at least 34 knots across portions of the lake. As the thunderstorms continued across the lake and onshore, they weakened some, remaining below marine/land based warning criteria.
