Hail was photographed near County Roads 42 and 5. It hailed for roughly five minutes.

Wider weather episode

An area of scattered storms quickly developed during the afternoon of Friday, August 15th across parts of central Minnesota. As the storms moved east, several of them produced large hail, especially just north, west, and south of the metro. There was only one report of wind damage, which came out of Dakota county.
