Snow squalls with heavy snow briefly reduced visibilities below a quarter mile while also producing wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph.

Snow squalls developed across northern Aroostook county during the late afternoon and evening of the 26th, in association with a strong cold front and upper level disturbance crossing the region. Briefly heavy snow accompanied the snow squalls reducing visibilities to a quarter mile or less. Wind gusts were generally 30 to 40 mph...though local wind gusts up to around 50 mph also occurred. Snow accumulations were generally an inch or less. However...localized accumulations up to 3 inches did occur in areas where several snow squalls impacted the same location.
