Scattered storms persisted through much of the day in southern Minnesota, though the strongest cells developed during the late afternoon after destabilization of the atmosphere was able to occur. These storms produced a handful of reported cases of severe hail up to golf ball sized as they traveled southeast and dissipated by around 10pm local time.
