The Mammoth Wildfire was discovered on July 24th. The fire started 3 miles northeast of Tionesta in Modoc County, California. The cause of the fire is unknown. As of 530 AM PST on July 31st, it had burned 2,533 acres, was 80% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 0.9M.
