The Emigrant Wildfire was discovered on August 24th. The fire started 22 miles southeast of Oakridge in Lane County, Oregon and burned into Douglas County, Oregon. The fire was caused by lightning. As of 530 AM PST on August 31st, it had burned 19,527 acres, was 0% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 4.0M.
