The Emigrant Wildfire was discovered on August 24th. The fire started 24 miles southeast of Oakridge in Lane County, Oregon and burned into Douglas County, Oregon. The fire was caused by lightning. As of 530 AM PST on September 30th, it had burned 33,096 acres, was 49% contained, no structures had been destroyed, and it had cost $ 56.9M.
