A thunderstorm wind gust of 40 mph/35 knots was recorded at the WeatherSTEM station 1840W Delray Beach Atlantic Dunes. Anemometer height is 59 feet.

The northern extent of a tropical wave and a stalled boundary near north Florida provided some enhancement to accompany diurnal heating and the sea/land breezes on August 9, 2025 which allowed for strong thunderstorms to develop over the Atlantic coast.
